Methodology

The figures come from the open data of the Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ), specifically its dataset of work-incapacity indicators by sex and age group (linked on each row). Values are cumulative from the start of the year to the date shown on each row (as of 30 June 2026); year-on-year comparison uses the same months of the previous year. Average duration per case is total sick days divided by the number of cases. ČSSZ data is published as open data under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
